Carmella Cox 85, a resident of Everett, passed away at the Melrose Wakefield Hospital on Tuesday April 28. Carmella was born on December 17, 1934 in Malden one of five children of the late Joseph and Lena (Quattrocchi) Arigo. Carmella married her late husband John and they made their home in Everett and raised their two children. Carmella worked for many years as an office clerk at the Bay Bank in Everett. Carmella was the beloved wife of the late John Cox who predeceased her in 2010. She is the loving mother of John Joseph Cox and his wife Amy Anderson Cox of Wilmington and Debra Sussman and her husband Harris of Sudbury. She is survived by her 6 adored grandchildren: Christina, John, Amanda, Thomas, Ariel and Ethan. She also leaves her two sisters and their families: Anna Amato of Woburn and Marie Hines of Reading and two siblings who passed away. In this time of COVID restrictions, interment was private in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden on Friday. Donations in Carmella's memory would be appreciated to be given to MSPCA.
